Bangaram Wooden Hut Resort is at Bangaram Island. Bangaram is a private, uninhabited island ringed by exceptional water. There is no settlement here, which is precisely the point. The property is beachfront, so the water is directly in front of you rather than a walk away — on islands this small that is less about convenience than about how the days actually feel.

Bangaram and neighbouring Thinnakara are also the two islands where foreign nationals may stay, on a special permit. Alcohol has historically been permitted on Bangaram, unlike the inhabited islands.

Getting to Bangaram Wooden Hut Resort

Access is by boat from Agatti, about an hour to ninety minutes depending on the sea. Since transfers are daylight-only, build a little slack into your arrival day.

Every visitor to Lakshadweep needs an entry permit, children included — there is no minimum age exemption. The process is much lighter than it once was: no police clearance certificate, no sponsor, and no tickets required when you apply. An ID card and a photograph for each passenger is the whole document list. Guests booking a package with us have the permit handled as part of the booking.
