Sea Shells Beach Resort, Kavaratti is at near Harbour Office, Kavaratti. Kavaratti is the capital of Lakshadweep — a genuine small town on a coral atoll, with more shade, more services and considerably fewer visitors than Agatti. The property is beachfront, so the water is directly in front of you rather than a walk away — on islands this small that is less about convenience than about how the days actually feel.

Kavaratti has a marine aquarium, several mosques of real architectural interest, and a lagoon that is beautiful but served by fewer tourism operators than Agatti. Expect to organise activities locally rather than picking from a menu.

Getting to Sea Shells Beach Resort, Kavaratti

There are no flights to Kavaratti itself — access is by ship from Kochi, or via Agatti and an onward transfer. Plan the connection carefully, as onward boats run in daylight only.

You will need an entry permit before you travel, and so will every member of your party regardless of age. The requirements are now minimal: an ID card and a photograph for each passenger, with no police clearance, no sponsor and no tickets needed at application stage.
